"What I remember most when I was in America was that people were very curious when they saw that I was Asian. Many people didn't know where Vietnam was so they came up to ask to take pictures with my husband and I. I also liked the time of about 10 days renting a camper in America. We both took turns driving, eating and sleeping in the car on the nearly 3,000 km journey, like free birds on the road," the Vietnamese man recalled.

They also had an unforgettable experience when Chiaki had a stomachache in Peru that lasted for almost a week when they went to Brazil. They dropped their drone in Bolivia and forgot their camera bag in Brazil. Another time, they lost their memory card in Mexico. Dung was devastated when he lost his data, but his wife encouraged him that the memories would last forever.

Mr. Dung and Ms. Chiaki met each other in their first year of university in Japan. When they first met, they were friends but gradually became close, fell in love and got married. They did not have a sudden moment like love at first sight, coming together after a period of getting to know each other.

"In 2018, I went to France to visit my wife, she studied at university there for 3 years. When I returned to Japan, my wife sat at the airport and cried for a long time. However, she also wants Dung to correct his tendency to get angry easily and "improve" his ability to guess locations and directions. When traveling, she is always the one looking at the map, confirming the direction for him to go with. The girl from the land of cherry blossoms has visited Hanoi, Da Nang, Hoi An and Hue. "Not only in Vietnam, the Vietnamese people I met in France, Japan and the US are also very kind. I don't know how to thank them enough. Even though I don't speak Vietnamese well, the locals still compliment me, I feel grateful for that," the Japanese wife shared.
