On the morning of March 28, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Pham Ngoc Nghi inspected the implementation of the Project to Upgrade the Oncology Department into the Oncology Center of the Central Highlands General Hospital and the Project to Invest in Construction and Purchase Equipment for the Dak Lak Provincial Center for Disease Control.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Ngoc Nghi inspected the progress of the Project on Investment in Construction and Equipment Procurement for the Dak Lak Provincial Center for Disease Control.

The Project on Investment in Construction and Procurement of Equipment for the Dak Lak Provincial Center for Disease Control was invested in to ensure facilities and equipment to serve the needs of disease prevention, improve the quality of preventive medical services, and meet the needs in the emergency situation of disease outbreaks. The project has a total investment of 286 billion VND with a total land area of ​​35,816 m2.

The project started construction on December 7, 2023. Up to now, some main items have been implemented, such as construction items No. 1, No. 2 and some auxiliary items... According to the actual progress, it is expected that the main construction items of the project will be completed in August 2024 and strive to complete and hand over the project for use in October 2024.

The project to upgrade the Oncology Department into an Oncology Center of the Central Highlands General Hospital has a scale of 400 beds with a total investment of more than 630 billion VND, invested in construction to meet the needs of cancer examination and treatment for people in Dak Lak province and neighboring provinces; gradually improve the quality of medical examination and treatment services for people, reduce the load on central-level cancer hospitals.

The current implementation of the Project is still facing difficulties due to the lack of capital to accelerate the project's construction progress and the capital to organize the selection of contractors for medical equipment package No. 02: Procurement of equipment for the Oncology Center and the Infection Control Department.

After surveying the actual projects, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Ngoc Nghi emphasized the important role in socio-economic development, the urgency and practical benefits of the projects, and acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the units in the process of project implementation.

Comrade Pham Ngoc Nghi requested relevant units to focus on implementing effective solutions to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles in capital sources to implement the Project to Upgrade the Oncology Department into the Oncology Center of the Central Highlands General Hospital; develop a plan to train quality human resources to ensure the Oncology Center when the Project is completed and put into use; speed up construction progress in parallel with ensuring the quality of the works, especially for the Project to Invest in Construction and Purchase Equipment for the Dak Lak Provincial Center for Disease Control - one of the important works to celebrate the 120th Anniversary of the Establishment of Dak Lak Province (November 22, 1904 - November 22, 2024).
