Attending the opening ceremony were: Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong; leaders of the National Assembly Committee; leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, Vinh Long province, and teachers and students of Pham Hung High School.

Since its establishment in 1977, with the attention and care of Party committees, authorities at all levels and people in the region, teachers and students of Pham Hung High School have overcome many difficulties, united, strived to excel, competed in teaching well - studying well, and achieved many remarkable achievements. Currently, the school has 40 classes with a total of 1,571 students, 101 managers, teachers and staff; of which 20 are excellent teachers at the provincial level, 50% are excellent teachers at the school level, 3 teachers are recognized as "Golden Chalk" teachers, 4 teachers are awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Education and Training... The school has been recognized as a National Standard School Level 1.

Beating the drum to mark the start of the school year and speaking at the opening ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated and warmly commended and congratulated the efforts, attempts, and outstanding results achieved by the school's teachers and students in the past time.

The National Assembly Chairman stated: Our Party and State always identify education as the top national policy, investment in education is investment in development, devoting the best to taking care of the education cause, ensuring that all children of school age can go to school, students can study in the best conditions; focusing on training human resources, especially high-quality human resources, one of the most important factors determining the quality of human life and the rapid, sustainable development of the country, affirming the competitiveness and position of the country in the region and the world.

A new school year has begun with many joys and new challenges; the 3-year journey of high school is very important, marking the maturity in all aspects of students. The National Assembly Chairman hopes that students will have much joy and motivation in their studies; constantly strive to practice following the example of great Uncle Ho, the example of Uncle Hai Pham Hung of Vinh Long. Students unite, love, help each other to progress together; fully prepare knowledge, skills, career orientation, with great ambitions for their future career journey; repay the gratitude of their parents and the teaching of their teachers.

The National Assembly Chairman hopes that each teacher will "be an example of morality, self-study and creativity"; always be dedicated and responsible for the profession, love and teach students wholeheartedly; "Teachers are like parents", truly be the ones to inspire and motivate students to be passionate about learning, practice their qualities, and explore new horizons of knowledge.

The National Assembly Chairman believes that the collective of cadres, teachers and students of the school will well implement the instructions of General Secretary and President To Lam in the Letter to the Education Sector on the occasion of the opening of the new school year; constantly innovate, improve the quality of teaching and learning, build a school culture rich in the cultural identity of the sacred land and talented people of Long Ho, Vinh Long; actively contribute to "improving people's knowledge, training human resources, nurturing talents", worthy of the school named after Chairman of the Council of Ministers Pham Hung.

Emphasizing that in the 2024-2025 school year, the 2018 General Education Program will continue to be implemented, which is the first year of implementing the High School Graduation Exam under the new program, the National Assembly Chairman requested the Ministry of Education and Training to continue to direct and organize the good implementation of the new general education program, promptly issue instructions, organize training on the exam, and create the best conditions for candidates and their families.

The National Assembly Chairman also requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front, mass organizations, all levels and sectors of Vinh Long province and Long Ho district to continue to pay attention to and direct the assurance of adequate facilities and financial resources for education and training; care for and develop a team of teachers and educational managers with sufficient numbers of teachers according to prescribed norms; strongly innovate teaching and learning methods, improve the quality of comprehensive education at all levels; promote the implementation of building school culture; strengthen coordination between families, schools and society in educating students.

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man witnessed Tay Do Cement Company presenting Pham Hung High School with teaching equipment worth 400 million VND.
