For tourist areas and spots, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism recommends arranging staff on duty 24/7 during storms, heavy rains, floods, flash floods, and landslides to proactively handle arising situations, while maintaining constant contact with the Civil Defense Command of wards and communes to update the situation and implement regulations.
Be ready to deploy response plans for storms, heavy rains, floods, landslides, flash floods; evacuation plans, relocation and other dangerous situations to ensure absolute safety for tourists, employees and assets of the unit.
For tourist accommodation establishments, the Department recommends ensuring compliance with the principles of electrical and gas system safety at the accommodation establishment; conducting a general inspection and review of the safety of electrical equipment, air conditioners, ceilings, walls, glass, elevators, dry and wet sauna systems, slippery areas (floors, swimming pools, etc.), service areas, and public areas at the accommodation establishment.
Do not organize for guests to use recreational sports services (including swimming pool services) in bad weather, not ensuring the safety of guests.
Promptly notify customers about bad weather conditions, low-lying areas and roads at risk of flooding so that customers can proactively arrange appropriate schedules.
Ensure service, food, and essential necessities for guests (drinking water, medicine, etc.), pay attention to food hygiene and safety, and the safety of guests' lives and property.
For accommodation establishments and resorts near the coast, especially tourist accommodation establishments in Tan Hiep island commune, areas at risk of landslides, flash floods, inundation, and rising sea levels, urgently notify guests of bad weather, storms, heavy rain, strong winds, and tornadoes in the Da Nang sea area.
At the same time, strengthen bracing and protect assets from the risk of rising sea levels, heavy rains and strong winds. Proactively have plans to evacuate guests to safe places or hotels in the city center when necessary or when requested by local authorities.
For travel agencies, the Department recommends that they closely coordinate with accommodation establishments and service providers and have plans to ensure absolute safety and full services for groups of tourists still visiting the city during the complicated storms, heavy rains, floods, landslides, and flash floods.
Also according to the document, the Department requested the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches to concentrate all leadership/management forces and rescue staff, rescue vehicles of the board, ready 24/24 hours to deploy immediately upon direction from the City People's Committee to promptly respond to storms, heavy rains, flash floods and handle arising situations.
In addition, focus on implementing solutions to ensure absolute safety for residents and tourists at Son Tra peninsula and beaches in the city.
