Warning to former Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee

Specifically, the Prime Minister decided to impose administrative discipline in the form of a warning on Mr. Vuong Binh Thanh, former Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province for the 2016-2021 term, due to violations and shortcomings in his work and having been subject to Party discipline.

The above decision takes effect from September 23, 2024. The disciplinary period is from the date of announcement of Decision No. 1604 dated July 31, 2024 of the Central Inspection Commission .

On April 23 and 24, 2024, in Hanoi , the Central Inspection Commission (CIC) held its 40th meeting.

At this session, the Central Inspection Commission reviewed a report proposing disciplinary action against a number of party members who violated the An Giang Provincial Party Committee.

The Central Inspection Commission found that Mr. Vuong Binh Thanh, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing serious consequences, bad public opinion, reducing the prestige of the Party organization and local government, to the point that disciplinary action must be considered.

Based on Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decided to issue a disciplinary warning to Mr. Vuong Binh Thanh.
