In Coc Tao village, Na Phac commune, many households are worried about the risk of landslides. Some households have had to evacuate urgently because the embankment behind them shows signs of cracking, posing many potential dangers.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dan's house currently only has the main living area that can be used, but the kitchen was once flooded by a large block of soil, and to this day the family still does not dare to go there for fear of landslides. His family is urgently handling the landslide to prevent heavy rain. "Last year the landslide was right in the kitchen, now with this wind and rain, I am even more worried" - Mr. Dan shared.

Not only Na Phac, many other communes are also proactively responding to storm No. 3. In Cam Giang commune, 15 households living in areas at risk of landslides have been listed for evacuation, with specific plans for evacuation locations, means of transportation and support forces.

“We have prepared response plans and are ready to evacuate people as soon as we receive instructions. Our viewpoint is not to be subjective, ensuring the safety of people's lives is our top priority,” said Mr. Phung Dinh Vinh, Vice Chairman of Cam Giang Commune People's Committee.

Along with ensuring the safety of the people, dams and irrigation works in the area are also being closely monitored and inspected. These are particularly vulnerable locations, with many potential risks in conditions of prolonged heavy rain.
