That is the way of selling of the couple Nguyen Thi Kim Chi (66 years old) and Phan Thanh Nga (67 years old, living in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City) at the small banh bo cart located on Pham The Hien Street, District 8.
Mr. Nga said that the profession of selling banh bo was passed down to him by his mother. He and his wife bought the materials themselves to assemble the banh bo cart.
"At first, I sold in front of the school gate to students, but it wasn't very crowded. Then some people stopped by and found the food delicious, and gradually more people came, so my wife and I made a numbered card. Otherwise, we wouldn't know who came first and who came last, which would make people uncomfortable. With a numbered card, sales would be much faster," said Mr. Nga.
Mr. Nga and his wife's banh bo cart starts selling from 3pm every day until evening. Banh bo has various fillings such as cocoa, cheese and peanuts, all priced at 10,000 VND. Banh bo without filling costs 5,000 VND. Starting from 4pm, many people came to take a number and wait to buy banh bo.

Traveling from Binh Tan District to District 8 to buy 32 banh bo, Ms. Ngoc Hieu shared: "I find the cakes here are very delicious, not burnt, very fragrant and fatty. The price of 5,000 VND is quite cheap but the quality is satisfactory."
Having eaten this banh bo since the first day Mr. Nga sold it, Bao Ngoc (District 8) is still a "die-hard fan" who comes to buy it every day after school: "I'm happy for you when you sell a lot of customers. You made these numbered cards quite well, which significantly reduces the situation of jostling and disorder when there are many customers. The cakes you bake are very delicious and fragrant."
According to Mr. Nga, preparing the ingredients is easy, the hardest part is baking the cake.
When asked why he sells it for 5,000 VND, Mr. Nga replied: "Because there are many people in this world who are very poor. Last time, someone brought 3 children and only dared to buy 2 cakes, how could they have enough to eat? So I gave them more. If you buy 2, I'll give you 2 more."
