On the afternoon of October 30, at the information session on the results of the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen, Deputy Chief of Office, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, said that the cases under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee such as Phuc Son, Thuan An, Viet Oil... were determined by the investigation agency of the Ministry of Public Security to be very serious and very complicated.

According to Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen, the above cases occurred in many areas, many places, the number, records, and documents were very large. Therefore, the Ministry of Public Security has allocated many resources to focus on solving, promoting, and ensuring the progress of the investigation of the cases.

Currently, the investigation agencies are focusing on handling key issues such as consolidating evidence, specifically, on the basis of existing records and documents, clarifying evidence and proving the criminal acts of each subject to serve the investigation, prosecution and trial.

Along with that, expand the investigation of cases, ensure that no criminals are left out, and those involved in criminal acts must be tried. At the same time, the goal must be to resolutely recover assets.

Regarding the issue of wanted subjects, Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen said that the Ministry of Public Security's investigation agency has deployed many measures, in addition to domestic wanted subjects, especially international wanted subjects using many solutions such as criminal extradition, diplomacy... to capture these subjects.

Mr. Tuyen said that the general spirit is very determined and for each specific subject there is a separate plan to organize, detect, search, and arrest them to serve the investigation.

Through the press, Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen sent a message to wanted subjects such as Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan or others to think about and surrender soon to enjoy leniency.

Mr. Tuyen stated that if they do not return or flee, they will still be tried according to the regulations like Ms. Nhan. At the same time, in such cases, they have no conditions to protect themselves before the law.
