The latest update from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that storm Yinxing is active in the sea northeast of Luzon Island (Philippines).
It is forecasted that on November 8, storm Yinxing will enter the East Sea with a level 13 intensity, gusting to level 16. At the same time, in recent days, the Central region has had heavy to very heavy rain.
To proactively respond to the developments of storms and heavy rains, on the evening of November 6, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Hoang Hiep signed and issued an official dispatch requesting ministries, branches, and Chairmen of People's Committees of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Binh Thuan to focus on implementing response solutions.
The key tasks in the coming days are to closely monitor the storm's developments; manage vessels at sea; organize a count of ships and boats; notify owners of vessels operating at sea of the location, direction of movement and developments of the storm so that they can proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas.
For the provinces in the Central region, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development recommends that they urgently overcome the consequences of recent floods. Check, review, and proactively evacuate people in areas at risk of deep flooding, flash floods, and landslides to safe places.
In addition, ministries and sectors coordinate with provinces and cities to inspect measures to ensure the safety of reservoirs and downstream areas; proactively operate reservoirs to ensure flood-receiving capacity according to regulations and be ready to handle possible situations. At the same time, prepare forces and means for rescue when required.
