The Board of Directors of Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank - Stock code: EIB) has unanimously elected Ms. Do Ha Phuong as Chairwoman of the Board of Directors (term 2020 - 2025) with the goal of building this bank on a transparent, safe foundation with a mindset of system innovation.

Ms. Do Ha Phuong was born in 1984 and has worked in the field of finance and banking for more than 15 years. She graduated with a BA in Accounting from George Mason University, USA and a MA in International Finance from Westminster University, UK.
Ms. Phuong joined Eximbank in 2022 as a member of the Board of Directors for the 7th term (2020-2025).
From 2018 to 2023, Ms. Phuong was the co-founder and CEO of VNInvest Partners LLC. Previously, the new Chairman of Eximbank was in charge of credit and risk management operations at Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VIB); Financial advisor at Lotus Finance LLC; and audit, tax, and financial consulting operations at Ernst & Young USA and Vietnam.
Ms. Do Ha Phuong's predecessor, Ms. Luong Thi Cam Tu, had a Resolution of the Board of Directors approving the dismissal of the position of Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Eximbank (term 2020 - 2025) from June 28, 2023.
Talking about this change in senior personnel, the representative of Eximbank said that leadership is one of the important factors in promoting business success and increasing the bank's position in the market. "Therefore, it is necessary to choose the right person, at the right time and in the right position. Eximbank aims to choose senior personnel who meet the standards and conditions, and more importantly, have enough virtue, heart and talent, in line with the bank's strategy, goals and orientation in each period", the representative emphasized.
In 2023, Eximbank aims to have total assets of VND 210,000 billion, an increase of 13.5%; pre-tax profit of VND 5,000 billion, an increase of 35%, compared to 2022. Eximbank's Board of Directors unanimously agreed to work together to manage the bank, aiming to bring Eximbank back to the TOP 10 leading joint stock commercial banks in Vietnam.
