Under the shady trees, laughter mixed with the rustling of brooms. The image of soldiers helping people is a vivid expression of the spirit of "The station is home, the border is homeland, and the people are flesh and blood". Major Nguyen Van The, Deputy Political Commissar of Long Khot Border Guard Station shared: "Doing mass mobilization is not only a task but also a sentiment and responsibility of the soldiers. In the border area, the close relationship between the army and the people is expressed through simple, everyday actions".

Officers and soldiers of Long Khot Border Guard Station visited and helped the family of wounded soldier Le Thi Tai in Trung Truc hamlet, Tuyen Binh commune ( Tay Ninh province).

After the working session, officers and soldiers of Long Khot Border Post visited Mrs. Le Thi Tai (84 years old), a 3/4-class disabled veteran, living with her husband in a dilapidated level 4 house. Not only giving gifts, the soldiers also helped clean, measure blood pressure, dispense medicine, and give instructions on eating and resting. Understanding the situation of disabled veteran Le Thi Tai's family, the unit regularly visited, encouraged, gave gifts on holidays and Tet, and provided necessities during heavy rains and storms.

Helping local people is a regular task of officers and soldiers of Long Khot Border Guard Station. Many programs and models have been effectively implemented by the Station such as: "Adopted children of the Border Guard Station", "Helping children go to school", "Sponsoring the elderly", "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area", "One address per week"... From the beginning of 2025 to now, the unit has presented more than 200 gifts to policy families in the area, supported 44 students who overcame difficulties to study well, and presented 2 shelters to women members in difficult circumstances. The total cost of implementing support activities is more than 293 million VND from the fund mobilized by the unit. The station also organized to help people build "charity houses", "great solidarity houses", repair houses, clear rural roads, clean up garbage in public places and residential areas with nearly 100 working days... Accompanying the unit's activities, Mr. Nguyen Vu An, Secretary of the Youth Union of Tuyen Binh commune shared: "The soldiers not only protect peace at the border but also leave a deep impression in the hearts of the people through practical and meaningful mass mobilization activities. They are examples for young people to learn and follow."

Along with material support for new rural construction, officers and soldiers of the Station also propagate and disseminate laws to people, act as a bridge to reconcile conflicts at the grassroots level, and strengthen solidarity in residential areas. Many silent but meaningful actions of the soldiers in green uniforms become the connecting thread between the Party, the government, the Army and the people, building an increasingly prosperous life, helping people feel more secure and the border area more solid.
