Antony rejects Mourinho

Antony is not interested in the offer from Fenerbahce.

According to ESPN Brasil , Fenerbahce has agreed to pay 45 million euros to Manchester United to own the Brazilian winger. This is the price MU wants to "cut losses" after spending nearly 100 million euros on Antony in 2022.

However, Antony is not keen on a move to Türkiye. Sources say he is not keen on the prospect of playing under Jose Mourinho, despite Fenerbahce's reputation and potential. The reason is that the 25-year-old star still has his eyes on Real Betis, where he found form with 9 goals in 26 games in the second half of last season.

Coach Manuel Pellegrini also admitted: "Everyone knows how happy Antony is here. We want him back and he wants to come back, but the decision depends on MU." Sports Director Manu Fajardo emphasized that Betis will not take financial risks, only recruiting Antony at a reasonable price.

Antony's willingness to wait until the end of the summer transfer window gives the La Liga club an advantage in pressuring MU's price. Betis hopes to continue to loan Antony with a buyout clause next summer, but the "Red Devils" only want to sell the former Ajax star outright.

Another solution in this deal is that Betis and MU will each hold 50% ownership of Antony, but the negotiation has not yet had any results.
