In Phu Tho, the spring festivals are held from January until the Hung Temple Festival on the 10th day of the third lunar month. Spring and festival celebrations are traditional cultural beauties that need to go hand in hand with ensuring safety and civilization so as not to lose the inherent good values ​​of the festival.

With more than 300 festivals associated with relics and heritages, Phu Tho is truly a festival land, in which Viet Tri strives to become a festival city returning to the roots of the Vietnamese people. The richness and diversity of Phu Tho Spring festivals begin in the first days of January, typically: Au Co Temple Festival (Ha Hoa district), Tro Tram Festival (Tu Xa commune, Lam Thao district), Phet Hien Quan Festival (Tam Nong district), Tam Giang Temple Festival, Chu Ha Tomb, Hung Lo village festival (Viet Tri city), Lang Suong Temple Festival, Dao Xa Communal House (Thanh Thuy district)... These festivals are all associated with the Hung King era of nation building.

The Princess Procession Festival in Hung Son town, Lam Thao district was recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2024.

Right before the Lunar New Year of At Ty, the Prime Minister issued an official dispatch directing to ensure that religious activities during the Lunar New Year and the 2025 Spring Festival are in accordance with the provisions of law, civilized, safe, healthy, economical, and in line with national cultural traditions. The Hien Quan Phet Festival in Tam Nong district has temporarily stopped phet robbery, but people still eagerly attend on January 12 and 13 to honor the merits and commemorate Princess Thieu Hoa.

Ensuring safety and civilization in spring festivals in Phu Tho province is an important issue, contributing to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, while creating a good impression in the eyes of tourists from all over the world; creating a friendly tourism environment, helping to promote sustainable tourism development. In order to ensure that people and tourists participate in festivals safely, in accordance with traditional customs and practices, localities in the province have strengthened inspection, examination and supervision before, during and after organizing festivals to promptly prevent and strictly handle violations in festival activities; especially acts of taking advantage of relics, festivals and beliefs for personal gain; superstitious activities, gambling; widespread festival organization causing waste and expense so that festivals can take place safely and civilly, so that the Spring festival season can be a time for worshipping, traditional rituals, and together preserving the cultural identity of the Ancestral Land through festivals.

Phu Tho is doing a good job of ensuring safety and civility during the Spring Festival, but still needs to make more efforts to maintain the order and solemnity of spiritual and traditional events. Close coordination between the government, people and tourists will help the festivals become cultural highlights, contributing to promoting the image of the homeland.
