6 high-level international delegations will attend the A80 ceremony

During the 80th National Day celebration (A80) on September 2, 6 high-ranking delegations representing countries will come to Vietnam. Many bilateral activities, meetings, and gratitude to international friends will also take place on this occasion.

Information about the international delegations participating in the A80 parade was announced by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang at the press conference to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1945 - 2025) chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with ministries, departments and branches on the afternoon of August 22.

According to Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has invited a number of international delegations to attend, including 6 high-level delegations representing Cuba, Laos, Cambodia, Belarus, Russia, and China, who will attend the 80th National Day celebration on September 2.

Some delegations will conduct bilateral activities. In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has received confirmation from more than 20 delegations representing leaders of various countries. Regarding defense, there are 8 delegations from the Ministry of Defense of various countries attending the celebration.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has invited a number of international reporters who are sympathetic and interested in Vietnam. We also organized a series of programs so that not only do foreign reporters come to cover the ceremony, but they can also witness the achievements of our people to the international community," said Ms. Hang.

In addition to high-ranking delegations, political parties, defense, diplomacy, and foreign reporters, a group from the Union of Friendship Organizations invited international friends who have supported Vietnam over the past 80 years. So far, nearly 100 delegates from this group will attend the ceremony.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited diplomatic delegations, ambassadors, representatives of embassies, international organizations, and consulates general of countries to attend the A80 event.

For the first time, there was a parade of overseas Vietnamese.

Notably, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs said that for the first time in the 80th anniversary of the founding of the country, overseas Vietnamese had their own parade. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a delegation of overseas Vietnamese from various countries to attend the ceremony. Among them, 50 overseas Vietnamese were practicing to participate in the parade.

"People shared that despite the time zone change, especially the weather, with the atmosphere of being in harmony with the people in the country, people forgot all their fatigue. This is an honor, a pride, and a responsibility of Vietnamese people living far from the Fatherland to be chosen to represent in the parade," Ms. Hang informed.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will organize a training course for associations and delegations so that overseas Vietnamese can update information about the domestic situation, train some skills related to the organization of associations and delegations to connect with each other; invite them to participate in events within the framework of the September 2 events. Some typical overseas Vietnamese will attend the national reception and participate in the art program at My Dinh Stadium.

Regarding the organization of international guests' activities, Ms. Hang shared: "The activities took place smoothly, according to the set plan. On this occasion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is proposing that the Party and State leaders hold a reception to express gratitude to international friends who have contributed to the cause of national liberation and national construction and protection."
