The school board said that on June 15, the school organized meals at the collective kitchen for nearly 400 people (including students, staff, teachers, and workers) with a menu for the morning - noodles, sticky rice, and pasta; for lunch - rice, fried pork ribs, pennywort soup, and stir-fried cabbage; for dinner - rice, fried chicken, sweet cabbage soup, and stir-fried cabbage.

In addition to the food provided by the school, students also use food sent in by their families such as fruit, yogurt, cakes, etc.

Among the 400 diners, 19 12th grade students who were studying for exams suddenly developed symptoms of stomachache, loose stools or mild fever...

The sick students were transferred to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital - Hoang Anh Gia Lai for treatment. By 11am on June 16, 1 victim was in stable health and his family requested to be discharged from the hospital.

As of 4:30 p.m. on June 16, the remaining 18 cases were in stable health and continued to be monitored and treated.

Gia Lai Food Safety and Hygiene Department has sealed all food stored on June 15 by the school itself (excluding the white rice sample because the school did not store the sample) to send for testing to find the cause.

University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital - Hoang Anh Gia Lai ordered stool culture for E.coli and Samonella indicators in the victim's sample.

By the afternoon of June 17, Hoang Anh Gia Lai University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital said that the health of 18 students from Chi Lang High School was basically stable, with only 3 cases showing symptoms of high fever of 39 degrees Celsius.

Initial test results have confirmed that these cases are infected with E.coli bacteria. The hospital has been applying the Ministry of Health's treatment regimen for the above cases.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital recommends that the remaining staff, teachers, employees and students of Chi Lang High School need to monitor their health status. If they have symptoms of vomiting, fever, or diarrhea, they need to go to the nearest medical center for examination and treatment.
