According to Aljazeera , the Israeli government said a second batch of 39 Palestinians were released after 13 Israeli hostages and four foreigners were released by Hamas from the Gaza Strip.

The transfer on the second day of a four-day ceasefire was delayed for hours as Hamas accused Israel of violating the truce. Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on social media X that 17 hostages, including 13 Israelis and four Thais, had been taken to Egypt and were en route to Israel.

On the same day, Al Jazeera TV channel broadcast images of buses carrying the released Palestinian prisoners in Beitunia, in the West Bank. Palestinian news agency WAFA previously confirmed that the prisoners had been taken to Jerusalem.

The second hostage exchange between Hamas and the IDF was scheduled to take place at 4 p.m. local time on November 25, but was delayed for hours after Hamas accused Israel of failing to implement the terms of a four-day humanitarian ceasefire, which was agreed upon by the parties after more than six weeks of bloody fighting.

The ceasefire has seen increased deliveries of fuel and supplies to Gaza - although aid groups say that is still barely enough to meet the needs of Gaza's 2.3 million Palestinians, who have endured weeks of Israeli bombing. Israel has agreed to allow 130,000 litres (34,300 gallons) of fuel to be delivered to besieged Gaza each day for humanitarian needs during the truce.

According to AP , the health authority in Hamas-run Gaza said more than 13,300 Palestinians died after a day-long pause in reporting casualties, allegedly because the collapsing health system in northern Gaza prevented them from providing detailed statistics.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would continue fighting after the ceasefire expired. About 1,200 people have been killed in Israel, mostly in the initial Hamas offensive.

Also on November 25, Egyptian media reported that the country received five planes carrying humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip from Russia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar and Saudi Arabia at El-Arish airport.

Al-Qahera News reported on the same day that seven trucks carrying fuel had entered Gaza through the Rafah border crossing. According to the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) in the North Sinai region, 100 trucks of humanitarian aid had entered Gaza along with the fuel trucks.
