Export of wood and wood products reached over 6.8 billion USD

(GLO)- According to the Customs Department, in May 2025, Vietnam's wood and wood product exports reached more than 1.41 billion USD (up 11.6% over the same period in 2024).

In the first 5 months of 2025, Vietnam's wood and wood product exports reached more than 6.8 billion USD (up 10.3% over the same period in 2024).

In the first 5 months of 2025, Vietnam's wood and wood products were mainly exported to the US market, accounting for more than 55.6% of the country's total export turnover of this item, with more than 3.78 billion USD (an increase of 13.48% over the same period in 2024).

Next is the Japanese market with more than 859 million USD (accounting for more than 12.6% of the total export turnover of wood and wood products of the country, an increase of more than 27.4% compared to the same period in 2024). The third place belongs to the Chinese market with more than 707.3 million USD (accounting for 10.4% of the total export turnover of wood and wood products of the country, a decrease of more than 20.3% compared to the same period in 2024).

In general, in the first 5 months of 2025, Vietnam's export turnover of wood and wood products to most markets increased compared to the same period in 2024.

In 2025, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment aims to export wood and wood products to reach 18 billion USD, of which wood products alone will reach 14 billion USD.
