On the morning of October 19, the People's Committee of Cu Kuin district coordinated with the Party Committee and authorities of Dray Bhang commune to solemnly organize the ceremony to announce the commune meeting new rural standards.

Attending the event were comrades: Tran Phu Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Hoai Duong, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; representatives of provincial departments and branches; leaders of Cu Kuin district; and a large number of people in Dray Bhang commune.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Cu Kuin District People's Committee Vo Tan Huy said that although it was established relatively late after being separated from Hoa Hiep commune according to Decree No. 40/2005/ND-CP dated March 23, 2005 of the Government and had a relatively low starting point, only achieving 4/19 criteria in 2011, the Party Committee, government and people of Dray Bhang commune have united, tried, and strived to rise up, by the end of 2022 the commune achieved 19/19 criteria.

Specifically: the poverty rate is only under 4.7% (121 poor households/2,592 households); average income per capita reaches 51 million VND/year; infrastructure is increasingly invested in synchronously and completed, meeting the requirements of production development and people's lives, in terms of transportation; 100% of the canal system is solidified; cultural facilities ensure cultural and sports activities of the people.

In recent times, the movement of all people joining hands to build new rural areas has been actively responded to by the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and people of all walks of life, becoming a widespread emulation movement; especially rural people have deeply recognized their role as the subject in building new rural areas with the motto "people know, people discuss, people do, people check, people supervise, people benefit".

The Party Committee, government and people of Dray Bhang commune were honored to receive the Certificate of recognition for the commune meeting new rural standards.

Currently, the district's specialized departments and offices are reviewing the planning boundaries to ensure the area and standards expected to be submitted to the Provincial People's Committee by the end of 2023 for approval of the type V urban area according to Resolution No. 1210/2016/UBTVQH13 dated May 25, 2016 of the National Assembly, and by 2024, submit to the competent authority to establish Dray Bhang town, Cu Kuin district.

With the achieved results, the Party Committee, government and people of Dray Bhang commune were honored to be recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a commune meeting new rural standards in 2022 in Decision No. 1599/QD-UBND, dated August 25, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Cu Kuin district Vo Tan Huy also emphasized that in the coming time, he requested departments, branches, unions, and the Party Committee and People's Government of Dray Bhang commune to continue to promote responsibility, raise awareness of the entire political system on new rural construction; consider this a key and regular political task and affirm the role of the people as the main subject in new rural construction, determined to maintain and improve the quality of the criteria.

Along with that, focus on mobilizing and integrating resources into new rural construction, promoting local strengths, promoting propaganda work, mobilizing all classes of people to join hands and contribute to building new rural areas, building a rich and civilized homeland. Focus on organizing the effective exploitation of invested works; well implementing the environmental protection movement, creating a bright - green - clean - beautiful landscape. Take advantage of and mobilize comprehensive resources to build advanced rural areas; combine the State's policy and the people's work together with the motto "People know, people discuss, people contribute, people do, people inspect, people benefit".

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Hoai Duong praised the sense of responsibility and the constant efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of Dray Bhang commune in their determination to carry out and successfully complete the task of building a new rural area. To continue to effectively implement the new rural construction program, striving to become an advanced new rural commune, a model new rural area and a type V urban area, he suggested that Dray Bhang commune continue to effectively restructure the agricultural sector associated with new rural construction, in which priority is given to promoting production development with key products with advantages in the value chain, focusing on developing cooperative economy, cooperatives, cooperative groups... Along with that, further strengthen information and propaganda work on new rural construction, focusing on raising awareness and understanding of the purpose, principles and nature of the new rural construction program, continuing to widely and practically deploy the emulation movement "Dak Lak joins hands to build new rural areas in the period of 2021 - 2025"...
