The campaign "Nghe An schools say no to cell phones during class" aims to propagate through many forms and measures so that students from primary to high school in the whole province can raise their awareness about the role and purpose of using cell phones every day.

Raise awareness of not using phones during regular classes, extra classes at school, including recess. For special classes, lessons, group activities or in special situations, the school and teachers decide on the use of phones for students.

The campaign also aims to help students increase interaction and direct communication when studying at school and in class, to be aware of the benefits and negatives of irresponsible and ignorant use of mobile phones, and to avoid addiction to video games and social networks. At the same time, it supports the development of students' psychology, personality, physical health and learning outcomes, thereby improving the overall quality of education.

Talking to reporters, Principal of Nghi An Commune Secondary School, Banh Thi Thuy Ha, said that the phone has long become a very familiar device for young people of all ages, not only as a means of communication when needed, but also as a means to help children access more technology and information to serve their learning and understanding...

However, excessive use of phones, even abuse, makes children dependent on phones.

“Realizing the need to control, raise responsibility and awareness for students when using phones, the school has always reminded and through teachers regularly propagated to help students in the school understand the positive aspects of phones, proactively stay away from the negative aspects that phones bring so as not to affect their studies, physical and mental health...”, Ms. Bang Thi Thuy Ha stated.

Using phones without full awareness and comprehensiveness causes many students to get too addicted to their phones. There are even cases of cheating in the learning process, with the use of phones to answer lessons instead of thinking and finding solutions.

Principal of Ha Huy Tap High School Cao Thanh Bao shared: We cannot deny the benefits and positive aspects when students use mobile phones. However, to avoid being too addicted to the phone, even falling into negative activities brought by the phone, it is very necessary to propagate and mobilize students to raise their sense of responsibility when using mobile phones.

For a long time, the school has always had supervision, starting from homeroom teachers to subject teachers, always propagating and reminding students when using phones for life and study so as not to affect their studies, life and spirit.

When entering the classroom, except for those subjects where teachers allow them to look up materials, students must put their phones in boxes prepared in advance by the class and school. Students can only use their phones when there is no class.

Sharing this view, Principal of Nghi Loc 3 High School Pham Thi Tuyet Mai said that campaigns like the one launched by the industry are necessary, they will create stronger alarms to remind students to raise their awareness and responsibility for using their cell phones for the right purpose and function.

Schools and teachers always accompany and remind students, and parents must also remind and guide them to use their phones for life and study, not to become dependent or abuse them.
