At the meeting, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Lo Van Mung briefly reported on the socio-economic development, national defense and security situation in the province in the first 6 months of 2024; some results of the front's work from December 2022 to present. Accordingly, in recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations have regularly promoted propaganda and mobilization work for people of all walks of life to implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws and policies; carried out well the work of ethnic minorities and religions, promoted the role of prestigious people in the community; organized many activities on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels mobilized people to effectively carry out movements and campaigns, participate in supporting the "For the Poor" Fund, build solidarity houses, eliminate dilapidated houses for the poor... At the same time, they did a good job of Party building, government building, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; paid attention to people's foreign affairs. The above results helped the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province receive the Third Class Labor Medal, the Government's Emulation Flag, the Excellent Emulation Flag of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front...

The leaders of the Lao Front for National Construction of the three provinces: Phoong Sa Ly, Udomxay and Luang Prabang informed about the socio-economic development, national defense and security situation in the localities and some results of the front work of the three provinces in the period of 2022 - 2024. In the friendly atmosphere of the meeting, the two sides discussed and exchanged experiences in front work on gathering and building the great national unity bloc, launching and implementing campaigns and emulation movements... The Lao Front for National Construction of the three provinces: Phoong Sa Ly, Udomxay and Luang Prabang requested Dien Bien province to support the development of cattle breeding, implement macadamia projects, improve the lives of people on both sides of the border, help train human resources, and provide medical examination and treatment for people...

The parties also agreed on the content and signed the minutes of the talks between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the Lao Front for National Construction of the three provinces: Phoong Sa Ly, Udomxay and Luang Prabang. In the period of 2024 - 2026, the parties agreed to continue to coordinate in propagating and educating revolutionary traditions, the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and the two States in general and between Dien Bien province and the three provinces: Phoong Sa Ly, Udomxay and Luang Prabang in particular. Coordinate in propagating and mobilizing the masses to participate in self-management of border lines and border markers, combating and denouncing all types of crimes, ensuring security and order, and preventing illegal entry; strengthen cooperation, exchange of information, and lessons learned in front work activities.
