On the morning of September 28, at Sub-area 149B, Ward 7, Da Lat City, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee organized a tree planting and afforestation launching ceremony in response to the peak emulation campaign "The Party Committee, government, army and people of Lam Dong province unite, determined to overcome difficulties, rise up with the country" in 2024.

Mr. Ndu Ha Bien - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Vietnam Youth Union delivered a speech launching the tree planting and afforestation campaign.

Attending the launching ceremony were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Da Lat City People's Committee, and more than 500 union members and youth in Da Lat city.

Speaking at the launching ceremony of tree planting and afforestation at the program, Mr. Ndu Ha Bien - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province said: In recent times, along with promoting many emulation movements in various fields, the Youth Union and Association at all levels in the province have actively organized many activities of planting and caring for trees to cover bare hills, create natural landscapes and protect the environment, and respond to climate change.

Through activities such as Green Sunday, Volunteer Saturday, Peak Day of joining hands to build new rural areas, Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho, Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign,... the movement of planting and caring for trees has created a spread, becoming a cultural beauty among union members, youth and people.

The Provincial Youth Union Secretary requested that all levels of the Youth Union, Association, each cadre, civil servant, union member, and youth continue to enthusiastically participate in planting trees and afforestation; everyone plants trees, every household plants trees, each tree planted must be good; continue to raise awareness and take effective measures to protect forests, prevent deforestation, forest burning, and illegal forest exploitation. Thereby contributing to the successful implementation of the Program of planting 50 million trees in Lam Dong province in the spirit of the Provincial People's Committee.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, all delegates and members of the Youth Union planted 2,000 trees in Sub-area 149B. This is also an activity to welcome the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Lam Dong province, term 2024 - 2029, which will take place this coming October.
