HCMC: Nearly 1,000 cases of alcohol concentration violations were fined during the 3 days of Tet

During the 3 days of the Lunar New Year 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police recorded nearly 1,600 cases of violations of the Road Traffic Law; including nearly 1,000 cases of alcohol concentration violations.

On February 13 (the 4th day of Tet), the Traffic Police Department (PC08), Ho Chi Minh City Police, said that from February 10 to February 12 (the 1st day of Tet to the 3rd day of Tet), the functional forces conducted a total inspection and recorded nearly 1,600 cases of violations of the Road Traffic Law in the area, with an estimated fine of more than 5.3 billion VND.

According to PC08, the authorities revoked 493 driver’s licenses; temporarily detained 964 vehicles. Traffic police detected 929 cases of alcohol concentration violations; 206 cases of speeding violations…

Thu Duc City Police alone from February 10 to February 12 recorded 79 cases, temporarily detained 33 motorbikes; and fined 11 cases. Of these, there were 28 cases of alcohol concentration violations, 1 case tested positive for drugs, 34 cases of speeding violations...
