TPBank maintains its position in the top 10 prestigious Vietnamese banks

6 consecutive years of honor

This year, TPBank continues to be ranked in the top 10 prestigious Vietnamese banks. This is the 6th consecutive year that TPBank has been named in this ranking list and in the ranking of private banks, TPBank was honored in 5th place.

Assessing the performance of the banking industry this year, Mr. Vu Dang Vinh, General Director of Vietnam Report - said that by 2024, interest rates will be at a record low due to stable core inflation.

Along with that, some policies to support and remove difficulties for businesses have also begun to show effectiveness.

The banking sector has had more optimistic results in the first quarter of this year when total operating revenue increased by 8.3% compared to the same period last year. Profit after tax of banks increased by 10.2% compared to the same period.

As for TPBank, continuing the growth momentum of the first quarter, in the recently announced financial report for the second quarter, the bank's pre-tax profit reached VND3,733 billion, an increase of 10.3% over the same period last year.

As of June 30, TPBank's total mobilization increased by nearly 5% compared to the same period last year, reaching nearly VND317,700 billion. TPBank's demand deposit ratio continued to be consolidated, reaching over 22%.

The bank's total individual operating income reached more than VND 8,900 billion, up nearly 18% over the same period in 2023. Of which, net interest income still contributed the most, accounting for nearly 75%, reaching more than VND 6,660 billion, up nearly 22% over the same period last year.

In addition, TPBank's service income also witnessed a positive growth momentum, reaching nearly VND 1,700 billion, thanks to service diversification as well as growth in operational scale.

Or the valuable papers business segment brought significant profits to TPBank when at the end of the second quarter, income from this segment increased by nearly 60% compared to the same period last year.

Actively digitize to improve operational efficiency

TPBank said it always considers sustainability as the foundation for development. Therefore, when the economy shows signs of recovery, TPBank continues to promote credit to industries and sectors that are priority areas of the Government and the State Bank.

At the same time, the bank also prioritizes capital for projects and sectors under public investment capital, especially key State traffic projects and works, rural agricultural infrastructure, commercial infrastructure, cultural and social infrastructure; and customers producing essential and fast-moving consumer goods.

TPBank also focuses on lending to the fields of information technology, telecommunications, and green credit programs.

Not only that, TPBank actively digitizes to improve operational efficiency and optimize operating costs.

As a result, TPBank's cost-to-income ratio in the second quarter continued to decrease to around 34%. TPBank's Basel 3 capital adequacy ratio continued to remain at 12%, significantly higher than the required level of 10.5%.
