Currently, PetroVietnam's member unit PTSC is cooperating with Sembcorp Utilities Pte Ltd (SCU), a member unit of Sembcorp Industries Limited, to seek investment opportunities to develop the "Renewable Energy Export Project from Vietnam to Singapore" according to the Bidding Document of the Singapore Energy Market Authority (EMA).
Accordingly, the PTSC & SCU Joint Venture will jointly study and invest in the construction of an offshore wind farm (WW) in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, with a total installed capacity of about 2,300 MW to export clean electricity to Singapore.
This is a cross-border project that has never been implemented before, with special significance in promoting bilateral relations between Vietnam and Singapore towards the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Singapore diplomatic relations (1973-2023) and 10 years of Vietnam - Singapore strategic partnership (2013-2023).

The PTSC & SCU consortium needs to quickly develop a plan and implement the next steps of the project according to the requirements of the EMA and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. At the same time, it is recommended that Sembcorp consider the cooperation proposal of the Equinor Energy Company (Norway) - wishing to participate in investing in the electricity export project with the consortium.
