I was the one who took over the position of Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee after Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong was elected Chairman of the National Assembly in June 2006. The simplicity and closeness in work were shown right on that handover day. No decorations, no flags, no signs, just a meeting of the Standing Committee to hand over the work. The same goes for the contact with the General Secretary. Not only me, but also others, when meeting the General Secretary, always feel not just meeting a high-ranking leader, but first of all, feeling a close, intimate, sincere person.
