This is the second state visit of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to Vietnam during his third term.
As China's leader, Xi Jinping has visited Vietnam four times, including once when he was Vice President in December 2011.
The visit took place in the context of positive development of Vietnam-China relations, and is even more meaningful as this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
