At 11:35 a.m. on April 14, the plane carrying General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping landed at Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi), beginning a State visit to Vietnam from April 14 to April 15 at the invitation of General Secretary To Lam and President Luong Cuong.
President Luong Cuong went to Noi Bai International Airport to welcome General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and the high-ranking Chinese delegation.

This is the second state visit of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to Vietnam during his third term.
As China's leader, Xi Jinping has visited Vietnam four times, including once when he was Vice President in December 2011.
The visit took place in the context of positive development of Vietnam-China relations, and is even more meaningful as this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
