On March 14, the annual Flower Show of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (China) opened at Victoria Park with about 240 impressive booths from China, the US, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam...

The exhibition will last until March 23 and is expected to attract about 650,000 visitors.

According to a VNA correspondent in Hong Kong, the theme flower of this year is Cosmos. Although fragile, the Cosmos flowers have strong vitality, come in a variety of colors and symbolize resilience and happiness.

Locals and tourists seem to get lost in the sea of ​​flowers, everyone wants to record impressive moments at the flower festival with their mobile phones or cameras.

The central axis of the exhibition is meticulously designed with a large-scale garden themed around the world travel.

“European Stroll” includes check-in spots such as English gardens, Dutch windmills, Greek blue and white huts, and French lavender fields.

The "African Safari" themed children's mosaic flower bed features lifelike animals such as gorillas, hippos, camels and giraffes in mosaic flowers.

On "Around Asia", visitors can visit famous places such as the Himalayas, Mount Kinabalu in Malaysia, Mount Fuji in Japan, the Temple of Heaven in Beijing and the Supertrees in Singapore.

Then, with the “America Discovery Tour,” visitors will explore ancient civilizations, visit the Mayan pyramids, the giant Moai statues on Easter Island and Western cowboys to create a fantasy world.

This year’s flower exhibition also features five crescent-shaped sports-themed art installations decorated with a variety of flowers of various colors and varieties. The highlight of the flower exhibition is the 2,200 young artists from kindergartens and primary schools participating in the painting competition.

The children's concentration on creating works amidst gardens with many blooming flowers created a beautiful scene at Victoria Park.

Ms. Tina - a Hong Kong resident shared that she comes to the flower exhibition every year.

On the morning of the first exhibition day, she felt the extremely lively atmosphere when many people and tourists came here to enjoy the flowers. The flower works were all designed very elaborately and beautifully.

Similarly, Ms. Ut May - a Vietnamese living in Hong Kong - also said that every year she and her sisters go to the flower festival to admire flowers from all over the world. She said that it is very meaningful for primary schools in Hong Kong to organize flower drawing competitions for students on this occasion.

During the exhibition, the organizers also organize a series of activities such as photography contest, plant exhibition contest, music and entertainment performances, flower art performances, green activity workshops, guided tours, entertainment activities and games for parents and children.

After the exhibition, the flowers in the gardens will be donated to residents, schools and non-governmental organizations to beautify Hong Kong and raise environmental awareness in the city./.

With the theme of green development, sustainability and environmental protection, the Flower Exhibition cleverly and exquisitely combines Eastern and Western cultures to impress and attract viewers.
