The Vietnamese delegation attending the event included large technology corporations and enterprises such as Sovico, FPT Semiconductor, Viettel Semiconductor, CT Semiconductor, Viglacera, DEEP C, Hyphen Deux, Infrasen, SmartOSC..., universities, industrial park management boards such as Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam-Germany University, Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park Management Board... The event attracted the attention of more than 150 delegates from many leading corporations, enterprises and universities in Korea and internationally such as ARM, SK, Samsung, Hana Micron, Seoul National University...
This is the first Semiconductor Forum for Vietnam held in Korea, in the context that the two countries have become Comprehensive Strategic Partners in 2022, Vietnam is becoming an attractive destination in the semiconductor field, especially in the fields of design, human resources and post-control.
Within the framework of the Forum, Ambassador Vu Ho, Embassy of Vietnam in Korea emphasized: "Vietnam and Korea have upgraded their relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership since 2022, sharing many strategic interests in geopolitics and geo-economics. Vietnam identifies semiconductors and artificial intelligence as two strategic industries to promote national development, and the two countries still have a lot of room for cooperation in the semiconductor field, especially in design, human resource training and production".
Mr. Vo Xuan Hoai, Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC), said: "Vietnam has proactively built a domestic semiconductor ecosystem and created a favorable legal corridor to welcome global enterprises to cooperate in the semiconductor and artificial intelligence industry."
According to Mr. Lee Dong-Chul, General Director of Hana Micron Group: "Vietnam is a dynamic investment environment with strong support from the government, developed infrastructure and high-quality human resources at reasonable costs, making it an attractive destination for high-tech enterprises."
The forum not only demonstrates Vietnam's strong development in this field but also opens up attractive investment opportunities, contributing to Vietnam's deeper participation in the global semiconductor value chain.
The series of activities at SEMICON Korea 2025 is an opportunity for Vietnam to showcase its potential in the semiconductor industry, affirm its commitment to developing the high-tech sector and strengthening international cooperation. With the participation of leading enterprises and research organizations, the event marks an important step in bringing Vietnam deeper into the global semiconductor supply chain.
The year 2024 has marked a strong shift for Vietnam in participating more deeply in the global semiconductor supply chain. In particular, the Government's issuance of Decree 182/2024/ND-CP dated December 31, 2024 on the establishment, management and use of the Investment Support Fund has affirmed a strong commitment to promoting high-tech enterprises, especially in the fields of semiconductors and artificial intelligence (AI). This is not only an important driving force to improve competitiveness but also helps Vietnam integrate more deeply into the international market.
With advantages in potential markets, high-quality human resources and attractive support policies, Vietnam is becoming an ideal destination for large technology corporations to expand production and investment. In 2025, NIC and the Ministry of Planning and Investment will continue to coordinate with potential partners to implement a series of investment promotion programs, connect businesses, and promote Vietnam's potential to international partners. In the context of the semiconductor and high-tech industries reshaping the global supply chain, this is the golden time for technology "eagles" to choose Vietnam as a strategic destination./.
