According to Live Science , as if to add to the haunting, the strange "face" appeared right on Halloween, created on Jupiter's stormy sea of clouds.

NASA said the mysterious image was taken by the Juno spacecraft during its 54th flyby of the gas giant's northern region - called Jet N7.
The "Face of Jupiter" is described as resembling the face in Norwegian artist Edvard Munch's painting "The Scream", created by turbulent clouds and storms moving across the planet's day-night boundary.

The low angle of the sunlight shining on Jupiter's complex terrain adds depth to the image, adding an eerie look to the "face".
When JunoCam captured this unique moment, the spacecraft was flying about 7,700 kilometers above Jupiter's cloud tops, at a latitude of about 69 degrees north, according to NASA.
This is not the first time the gas giant with its swirling, shape-changing sea of clouds has haunted us with strange images.
In Juno's data from July 2016 to present, there are many images similar to Van Gogh's paintings, or a dolphin swimming freely in the sky.
According to scientists , these images can be explained by the brain phenomenon Pareidolia. Accordingly, people always think they see a face or other familiar images in random objects when they appear to have some similarities.
