Solve for Tomorrow launched in 3 regions, expected to attract hundreds of thousands of students

According to information from Samsung Vietnam today June 24, June 23, Samsung Vietnam held an event to introduce the Solve for Tomorrow program - a typical social responsibility program of Samsung globally at Nam Tu Liem Secondary School (Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi ).

Notably, the program featured the wife of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, Ms. Kim Keon-hee.

Samsung's Solve for Tomorrow has created a creative thinking playground for students, encouraging them to apply STEM education knowledge related to the fields of science - technology, engineering and mathematics to overcome social problems such as environment, safety, sustainable development...

The program was first initiated in the US in 2010, then expanded to 55 countries worldwide, attracting about 2.4 million students and teachers to participate.

The contest was launched in Vietnam in 2019. In 2022 alone, the contest attracted the participation of more than 70,000 middle and high school students nationwide.

With the desire to reach and attract more students to participate, this year, for the first time, Samsung has conducted a roadshow, directly launching the Solve for Tomorrow program in the three regions of North, Central and South Vietnam. It is expected that the number of students participating and the number of entries this year will double that of last year.

At the event, Ms. Kim Keon-hee visited the display area of ​​models of the first-place winning teams of the competition in the past two years, and spent time talking with students participating in the Solve for Tomorrow program.

First Lady Kim Keon-hee said: "Korea always accompanies and supports students with many dreams like you. Hopefully, through the Solve for Tomorrow program, you will become more mature and from there contribute more to Vietnam and the world."

Mr. Jo Sang Ho, General Director of Samsung Electronics Southeast Asia, said: "Since officially investing in Vietnam, Samsung has actively contributed to Vietnam's economic development with export turnover accounting for about 20% of Vietnam's total export turnover. In addition to economic contributions, Samsung always strives to contribute to the training of technology talents, thereby increasing Vietnam's fundamental competitiveness."
