Welcoming the International Day of Cooperatives, Saigon Co.op has just set and received a National Record with the community project "Online Vietnam Map made from 50,000 photos of happy smiles taken with the National Flag" in the happiness journey campaign.
The campaign is not only an activity to connect customers with a purely Vietnamese retail brand, but also an opportunity to celebrate major holidays of the year with the whole country.
At each stop, in addition to taking photos, Saigon Co.op also cooperated with the locality to organize special cultural programs such as historical reenactments in Quang Tri, Central Highlands gong performances, amateur music in Ben Tre ... thereby contributing to promoting the image of people, regions and OCOP products typical of each locality. Tens of thousands of customers have accompanied Saigon Co.op on the journey to spread Vietnamese values, together creating meaningful records with the National Flag and smiles, creating symbols of solidarity, love and hope for the future.
In addition to community activities, Saigon Co.op is always a pioneer in building "green standard" cooperatives and with continuous efforts in environmental protection, promoting sustainable consumption and spreading green lifestyle in the community, the Co.opmart and Co.op Food supermarket systems under Saigon Co.op were honored to receive the Ho Chi Minh City Environmental Award from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City in June 2025.
Standing out in the activities responding to the International Day of Cooperatives (July 5), Saigon Co.op staff simultaneously participated in humanitarian blood donation in Ho Chi Minh City and many localities, demonstrating the social commitment and "community spirit" of the modern cooperative model.
At the same time, from July 3-16, at more than 800 points of sale nationwide, Saigon Co.op launched the program "International Cooperative Discount Party", introducing a series of local specialties, OCOP products and Co.op private label products with discounts of up to 50%. This is the result of a sustainable network of connections between Saigon Co.op and cooperatives and traditional craft villages nationwide, ensuring a stable supply, high quality and reasonable prices for consumers.
