(Chinhphu.vn) - This afternoon (April 26), Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh chaired meetings with the Party Committee of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and the Party Committee of Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development (BIDV) on preparations for the congresses of the two Party Committees for the 2025-2030 term.

According to Decision No. 65-QD/DU dated March 17, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee on the establishment of Steering Groups and units assisting the Steering Group for the congresses of Party Committees directly under the Government Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, Steering Group No. 2 will direct the congresses of 5 Party Committees including: Ministry of Home Affairs, Government Inspectorate, Government Office, VNPT Group, BIDV Bank. VNPT Group Party Committee and BIDV Bank Party Committee are the 2 Party Committees that will organize model congresses. Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh is the Head of Steering Group No. 2.

At the working session with the VNPT Party Committee, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the Party Committee for focusing on directing and seriously and successfully organizing grassroots Party congresses, and for focusing on preparing all aspects for the 2025-2030 term Congress of the VNPT Party Committee.

Emphasizing that VNPT is a large economic group of the country, with a very important role and position in the economy, especially in contributing to the implementation of the national digital transformation, the First Deputy Prime Minister hopes that in the coming term, VNPT needs to continue to strongly affirm its role and mission, affirming profound imprints, especially in digital transformation, promoting the development of science and technology in the spirit of Resolution No. 57 of the Central Committee; in innovation, developing new science and technology products, modern electronic and telecommunications equipment and products with high practical applicability in all areas of social life... In general, it is necessary to leave behind products, initiatives, and works that are symbolic of the term.

Along with cooperation activities, effectively supporting the Ministry of Public Security in implementing Project 06, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister hopes that in the coming term, VNPT will continue to make practical contributions to promoting administrative reform, providing public administrative products and services to all levels of government.

At the meeting, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh also gave specific comments to the VNPT Party Committee on the next focuses in organizing the congress, especially in completing congress documents, reports, expected time of holding the congress, reviewing and preparing personnel for the congress; at the same time, emphasizing the requirement that all preparation activities and congress organization must closely follow Directive No. 45-CT/TW dated April 14, 2025 of the Politburo on party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, as well as instructions from higher levels.

After listening to the report of the BIDV Party Committee on the preparations for the 2025-2030 Party Congress, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh highly appreciated the proactive preparations of the BIDV Party Committee for the congress, saying that the conditions for the congress were carefully and fully prepared, in accordance with the requirements and regulations to be ready to organize the congress.
