Deputy General Director of Dao Xuan Vu Group works with Dominican President

During the visit, the delegation had bilateral meetings with several high-ranking Dominican leaders, including President Luis Abinader, Secretary General of the United Left Party Miguel Mejia, President of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (INDOTEL), Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Jose Julio Gomez and representatives of several telecommunications infrastructure partners.

At the meeting, the Dominican President appreciated Viettel's contributions to the telecommunications sector in many countries and expressed his hope that Viettel would enter the Dominican market, aiming to expand coverage, improve service quality and reduce costs for the people. The President also said that the Government would create favorable conditions if Viettel decided to invest in this country.

On the United Left Party side, the General Secretary affirmed strong support for Viettel's investment expansion in Dominican Republic, pledging to accompany and support the implementation process if the project is promoted.

Speaking at the working sessions, Deputy General Director of the Group Dao Xuan Vu stated that Dominicana is a potential market, but also highly competitive. Viettel will continue to research, survey and evaluate carefully before making an official investment decision.

Receiving an invitation to conduct an investment survey from the Dominican Government demonstrates Viettel’s growing prestige and position in the international arena. Along with Dominican Republic, several other countries such as Venezuela, Nicaragua, Uganda and Guinea-Bissau have also expressed their desire to cooperate with the Group in the telecommunications sector.

“The international investment process not only helps Viettel increase its brand value, but also contributes to promoting friendly cooperation between Vietnam and other countries. This is also part of the strategy of sustainable development and protecting the Fatherland from early on and from afar that Viettel is implementing,” emphasized Deputy General Director of the Group Dao Xuan Vu.
