On November 17, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh attended and shared joy with officials and people of residential area 6, Giao Lac commune, coastal district of Giao Thuy (Nam Dinh province) in the National Great Unity Festival, organized by the hamlet's CTMT Committee, on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024).

Also attending the festival were Nam Dinh Provincial Party Secretary Dang Khanh Toan and key leaders of the province.

At the Festival, Mr. Vu Manh Quyen, Party Cell Secretary, Head of the CTMT Committee of Hamlet 6, informed that the hamlet was established and put into operation in January 2022 on the basis of merging 3 hamlets; currently there are 425 households, 1,642 people, the party cell has 59 party members, located in the center of Giao Lac commune.

In recent times, under the direct leadership of the Party Committee and local authorities, responding to the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, everyone and every household in the village has focused on economic development, poverty alleviation, and legitimate enrichment; practicing a cultural lifestyle, environmental sanitation, maintaining security and order, taking care of children's education, helping those in difficult circumstances, strictly complying with the provisions of the law...

In economic development, in addition to agricultural production, many households in the hamlet have developed the profession of sewing ao dai and wedding dresses, creating more jobs and new income. Currently, the hamlet has more than 80 ao dai and wedding dress businesses, creating stable jobs for over 400 workers with an income of 8 to 12 million VND/person/month. Thanks to the focus and dynamism in economic development, the lives of most households in the hamlet are increasingly prosperous, with an average income per capita of more than 90 million VND/person/year; currently, the hamlet has no poor households.

With the spirit of "beautiful houses, green gardens, concrete roads, and garbage-free rivers", from 2023 to now, the people in the hamlet, local businesses, and children of the homeland have contributed and supported over 2.3 billion VND, through which the hamlet has upgraded and repaired the cultural house, expanded and renewed the field roads and alleys, and made flower and ornamental tree roads spacious and clean.

Up to now, over 90% of households in the hamlet currently have organic waste treatment processes at home, 100% of waste is collected and treated properly.

The hamlet maintains and increasingly develops cultural, artistic, and sports movements, including establishing and maintaining many clubs for all ages, attracting many villagers to participate.

Weddings and funerals are performed by families in a civilized manner.

“The close relationship between neighbors and the village spirit is increasingly strengthened; the spirit of sharing, supporting, encouraging and helping each other is maintained and implemented in a timely manner,” Mr. Vu Manh Quyen shared.

Talking to officials and people in the village, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh expressed his joy at the achievements, changes, and development in all aspects of life in Hamlet 6, Giao Lac Commune and Giao Thuy District, especially the results in building new rural areas; highly appreciated the people in the hamlet's boldness in expanding new industries, thereby creating more jobs and high incomes. He also expressed his joy at being able to join in the joyful atmosphere of the National Great Unity Festival organized by the Hamlet's CTMT Committee.

Recognizing solidarity as a precious tradition of the nation, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that the Party and State always pay attention to the task of building and consolidating the strength of the Great National Unity. Every year, leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Fatherland Front, ministries and central agencies all visit villages, hamlets and residential groups across the country to attend and celebrate with local people on the Great Unity Day, demonstrating this concern.

He hopes that the cadres and people of Hamlet 6 will always maintain and promote the spirit of solidarity in both favorable and difficult times; promote the revolutionary tradition of their homeland Nam Dinh; strictly comply with the provisions of the law; always support and help each other to develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, and enrich themselves legitimately; build a cultural lifestyle, focus on protecting the environment, maintain security and order, care about children's education, build a residential area free of social evils, safe and healthy; each year will be better than the previous year, the next generation will do more than the previous generation.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh requested that local Party committees, authorities and Fatherland Fronts pay attention to building a strong political system; effectively implementing the tasks and goals set out in the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels; closely grasping the thoughts and aspirations of the people; increasingly taking better care of the material and spiritual lives of the people, paying special attention to and mobilizing resources to care for people in difficult circumstances and policy families; effectively implementing the grassroots democracy regulations.

Propose that the Fatherland Front at all levels in Nam Dinh province continue to launch, improve the quality and effectiveness of Campaigns, patriotic emulation movements, especially the Campaigns "Building new rural areas, civilized urban areas", "Day for the poor"; encourage and motivate typical and advanced individuals and collectives; thereby building and consolidating the great solidarity bloc, all levels, sectors, everyone, every household join hands to build an increasingly prosperous, happy, safe and healthy life right from each home and each community.
