(Dan Tri) - Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission, was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
On the morning of February 22, the Long An Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work. The Politburo assigned Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission , to hold the position of Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Mr. Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee, presented the decision to appoint Mr. Quyet this morning (February 22). Mr. Quyet replaces Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, who was recently elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

The Head of the Central Organization Committee said that Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet is a well-trained cadre with high professional qualifications, scientific, decisive and democratic thinking and working methods, highly appreciated by the Politburo and the Secretariat, and has made important contributions to the common achievements of the units and localities where he has worked.
The Politburo and the Secretariat believe that in his new position, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet will continue to excellently fulfill his assigned tasks.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet thanked the Politburo for entrusting him with the important task. He considered this an important milestone and a great honor in his work, as well as a great responsibility before the Party Central Committee, the Party Committee, the government and the people of Long An province.
Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet (53 years old, from Ninh Binh) has a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Party Building and State Administration. He used to work at the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Court; the Department of Justice, the Notary Office, and the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee.
In September 2007, Mr. Quyet worked at the Central Inspection Commission, serving as Director of Department of Area 5. At the 3rd Central Conference in July 2021, Mr. Quyet was elected as an additional member of the Central Inspection Commission, then held the position of Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission.
