Previously, on the morning of December 7, the 16th Session of the 14th Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council elected the Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

As a result, 100% of the delegates summoned to attend the meeting agreed to elect Mr. Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Cao Tuong Huy was born in 1973, hometown in Giao Tien commune, Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province; professional qualifications: University degree in Construction, University degree in Business Administration, Master of Economics; Advanced degree in political theory.

Mr. Cao Tuong Huy is a cadre with basic training, matured from the grassroots, and has held many important positions at the provincial and district levels such as: Head of Planning and Construction Department, Office of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province; Deputy Chief and Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee; Secretary of Binh Lieu District Party Committee; Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Head of the Economic - Budgetary Department of the Provincial People's Council; Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
