Speaking at the direction and assignment, Associate Professor Tang Chi Thuong, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, congratulated Dr. Diep Bao Tuan for receiving the trust and high appreciation of the hospital's staff and workers as well as leaders at all levels.

The Director of the Department of Health requested Dr. Diep Bao Tuan to continue to uphold his sense of responsibility, together with the staff, civil servants and employees of the hospital to promote the spirit of solidarity, strive to complete the assigned tasks well, and be worthy of being the final cancer hospital of the Southern region.

With the newly assigned position, Dr. Diep Bao Tuan said he will do his best to maintain and promote the achievements of the previous term's board of directors, continue to uphold the tradition of solidarity, and complete the goals and strategies set forth by the Party Committee and board of directors...

Specifically, raising the level of Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital to be on par with other countries in the region; deploying advanced technical lists on oncology; being responsible for advising leaders at all levels to build a "High-tech health examination and screening center" at facility No. 3 No Trang Long, Ward 7, Binh Thanh District and developing a cancer prevention network in the southern provinces.

Mr. Diep Bao Tuan is currently 58 years old and has held many different positions at Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital such as union chairman, deputy head of general planning department, head of satellite oncology department, and deputy director of the hospital.

On April 23, 2024, he was assigned by the Department of Health to be in charge of managing, operating activities, performing financial transactions and duties of the director of the Oncology Hospital under the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, replacing Dr. Pham Xuan Dung - director of the hospital - who is on leave.
