TPO - The heavy rain late at noon on May 31 caused the roads around Thu Duc Market (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) to be heavily flooded. Local residents and authorities had to work hard to clean up the trash around the manhole to drain the water.

The Duong Van Cam - Dang Thi Ranh intersection was blocked by authorities and warned against vehicle movement.

Thu Duc City drainage unit organized garbage cleaning and sewer dredging to quickly drain water.

Duong Van Cam Street is heavily flooded. "The water has receded a bit now, when it first rained it was about 5 inches deep," said a resident.

The Vo Van Ngan Street drainage project does not solve flooding for Thu Duc market, but only handles drainage for about 87 hectares, collects surface water, limits accidents on this road and reduces flooding by 20% of this market basin.

Water flooded into people's houses at the intersection of Truong Van Ngu - Dang Thi Ranh after heavy rain.

Thu Duc City Traffic Police were also present to help people clean up trash and support drainage on Dang Thi Ranh Street.
