On June 29, iCar software company organized a community exchange with users in Hanoi and introduced an upgraded version of iCar GSpeed software.
Compared to the old version released last year, the new point of this version is that iCar GSpeed can run on the iOS platform, which means it can run on any handheld device, while last year it could only run on the Android platform.
Another notable new feature is that the application has an additional feature to warn of a traffic camera 350m in advance, playing a sound by voice or by beep with a customizable volume setting. This feature will help drivers adjust their steering when warned of a traffic camera ahead.
This software also adds two important features: maximum speed warning (on the current road section) and maximum speed warning for the section ahead, both by image and voice.
When the vehicle exceeds the speed limit, GSpeed will immediately warn, helping the driver adjust the speed appropriately.

According to the announcement of iCar General Director Tran Quoc Thang, after one year of launching, GSpeed has more than 35,000 users and a total of 32,700 contributions from the user community, achieving 95% data accuracy.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dam Hoang Phuc, Director of the Automotive Engineering Training Program at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, said: "The goal of fines is to help traffic participants become more aware. Therefore, to avoid accidentally encountering situations that cause us to violate traffic safety, we need a technological support measure to avoid violations. That is the true meaning of technology to help drive more safely."

According to Mr. Tran Quoc Thang, the penalty warning feature on GSpeed software aims at the short-term goal of providing drivers with the opportunity to correct their behavior before facing financial and legal consequences. But the deeper ideal is the expectation that drivers can naturally and consistently build legal driving habits through regularly seeing penalty warnings from the application.
