The province synchronously deploys the work of appraisal and approval of environmental impact assessment reports.
Since the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 took effect from January 1, 2022, Tay Ninh province has synchronously deployed the work of appraisal, approval of environmental impact assessment reports and environmental licensing, ensuring proper procedures and quality.
According to statistics, the Provincial People's Committee has appraised and approved environmental impact assessment reports for 166 projects (former Long An : 91 projects, former Tay Ninh: 65 projects). At the same time, environmental licenses have been granted to 1,076 projects (former Long An: 584 projects, former Tay Ninh: 492 projects).
Receiving and processing documents is done through online public services, helping to shorten the time, all documents are processed before or on time, there are no late documents.
However, the inspection and monitoring work after the approval of environmental impact assessments and environmental licensing is still limited. Currently, the Central Government has not issued the National Environmental Database, so localities cannot update and share information synchronously.
To overcome this, Tay Ninh province proposed to regularly update new legal regulations; strengthen inspection and supervision after licensing.
Along with that, the province proposed that the Central Government soon issue the National Environmental Database to facilitate locality in updating and sharing data./.
