(QNO) - This afternoon, January 4, the Provincial Party Standing Committee held an online conference to review the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline enforcement work in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024.

Comrades Le Van Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Phan Thai Binh - Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission; Nguyen Quang Khanh - Deputy Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission chaired the conference.

The report at the conference said that in 2023, implementing thematic supervision, Party committees and Party organizations at all levels supervised 677 Party organizations (down 8.9%) and 1,707 Party members (down 28%), with 799 Party committee members at all levels. Of which, the Provincial Party Committee supervised 8 Party organizations and 13 Party members (achieving 100% of the plan).

The Inspection Committee at all levels supervised 631 party organizations (an increase of 18%) and 751 party members (an increase of 12.6%), with 597 committee members. Of which, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee supervised 5 party organizations and 9 party members (achieving 100% of the plan).

Through supervision, Party committees and Inspection Commissions at all levels have discovered and corrected Party organizations and Party members with shortcomings and defects; at the same time, they have transferred for inspection signs of violations to 2 Party organizations and 4 Party members.

Regarding Party discipline enforcement, Mr. Nguyen Quang Khanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission said that in 2023, Party committees at all levels and Party cells disciplined 5 Party organizations and 352 Party members (an increase of 27%). Of which, the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee disciplined and expelled one person from the Party.

The Party Inspection Committee at all levels disciplined 10 party organizations (an increase of 400%) and 137 party members (a decrease of 4.2%). Of which, the Provincial Party Inspection Committee disciplined 3 party organizations (2 reprimands, 1 warning), and disciplined 8 party members (2 reprimands, 3 warnings, 3 expulsions).

“Through inspection and supervision, Party committees, Party organizations, and Inspection Commissions at all levels handle disciplinary actions against Party organizations and Party members who violate the law, basically ensuring the content, nature, level, and harmful effects of the violations, contributing to strictly maintaining Party discipline and order, preventing and repelling the degradation of political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, manifestations of “self-evolution”, “self-transformation” and the state of bureaucracy, corruption, and negativity,” said Mr. Khanh.
