Specifically, train SE4 departed from Saigon station on June 4, led by train captain Le Thanh Van. While the train was running in the Thi Long - Minh Khoi section at 1:40 a.m. on June 6, cabin crew member Nguyen Hong Thai was informed that a passenger had a stomachache, her water broke, and was showing signs of giving birth. That was a female passenger in bed number 5, cabin 6, with a ticket to Bien Hoa station and a ticket to Hanoi station.

The flight attendant informed the train captain and the train cleaner to come and assist the passenger. At the same time, the train crew called on passengers with medical expertise to come to car 6 to assist and called Thanh Hoa station to report an ambulance, ready to take the passenger to the hospital.

However, at 1:50 a.m., with the direct assistance of the ship's sanitation worker Huynh Thi Mai Hien, the female passenger safely gave birth to a baby girl. Afterwards, a passenger with medical expertise arrived to assist and provide first aid to the female passenger.

The train arrived at Thanh Hoa station at 2:07 a.m. The train crew handed over the mother and child, along with all their luggage, to Thanh Hoa station to take them to the hospital and support the passengers during their medical care there.
