The Red Journey Club - Connecting love of Lam Dong province in collaboration with the Lam Dong Red Cross launched a voluntary blood donation program with the theme: Giving drops of blood in the summer - Spreading love.

Despite being widely publicized, this morning's results only received 46 units of blood donated by volunteers to Lam Dong General Hospital.

Meanwhile, in each previous campaign, many cadres, teachers in the school system at all levels and Red Cross members and volunteers actively participated in donating an average of over 100 units of blood per campaign.

For many years, this fixed blood donation point has been organized periodically once a month to proactively provide a stable blood source for emergency activities and patient treatment at Lam Dong General Hospital.

However, due to the impact of students returning home for summer vacation, the blood donation movement in universities and colleges in the area was interrupted.

In addition, the Da Lat City Red Cross Society has stopped operating since July 1, leaving a gap in the work of mobilizing people to participate in voluntary blood donation at this time. Similarly, when the Red Cross Society of the districts is no longer operating, there is currently a gap in the work of mobilizing voluntary blood donation in the localities.

Since the beginning of July, the Lam Dong Red Cross has mobilized less than 150 units of blood. According to the association, the risk of blood shortage for emergency and treatment of patients at hospitals in the area is very high.
