The opening match of EURO 2024 between host Germany and Scotland will take place at 2am on June 15 (Vietnam time). According to information on the UEFA homepage, French referee Clement Turpin (42 years old) will be the referee for this match.

Assisting Mr. Clement Turpin are two fellow countrymen, Nicolas Danos and Benjamin Pages. Meanwhile, the fourth referee is also French, Francois Letexier.

The VAR room at the opening match of EURO 2024 will be controlled by French referee Jerome Brisard and assistants Willy Delajod and Massimiliano Irrati.

Mr. Clement Turpin was born in 1982 and started his refereeing career in Ligue 1 (French National Championship) in 2008. Clement Turpin became a FIFA referee in 2010.

In 2012, this referee in black became a referee in the Elite group (the highest level) of UEFA. Referee Clement Turpin is considered a prestigious referee in Europe and was the referee of the 2022 European Cup C1 final when Real Madrid beat Liverpool 1-0.
