On the occasion of India's successful launch of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft to the Moon, President Vo Van Thuong sent a congratulatory message to President Droupadi Murmu; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi; National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue sent a congratulatory message to Senate Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar and House Chairman Om Birla.
On this occasion, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son sent a congratulatory message to Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
According to Indian officials, at 7:34 p.m. on August 23 (Hanoi time), the Vikram lander of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft successfully landed near the South Pole of the Moon. The success of Chandrayaan-3 made India the fourth country in the world to land on the Moon's surface, after the Soviet Union, the United States and China. The mission also marked India's emergence as a new space power.
