After eating hot pot and drinking alcohol at Chiem Coi hot pot restaurant (in group 8, Song Cau ward, Bac Kan city, Bac Kan province) for about 10 minutes, all 5 diners showed signs of dizziness, cyanosis, vomiting, of which 1 person fainted on the spot.
The Department of Food Safety, Ministry of Health has just sent an official dispatch to the Department of Health of Bac Kan province requesting an urgent investigation and clarification of the food poisoning case at Chiem Coi hotpot restaurant (in group 8, Song Cau ward, Bac Kan city, Bac Kan province) that caused 5 people to be hospitalized; at the same time, temporarily suspend the above food establishment to investigate the cause, take food samples and specimens and urgently send them to the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene Control for testing.
The Food Safety Department also requested the Bac Kan Provincial Department of Health to direct the Bac Kan Provincial General Hospital to focus resources on actively treating poisoned patients, and if necessary, request professional consultation support from the Poison Control Center of Bach Mai Hospital.

Previously, on the evening of October 17, a group of 5 people went to the Chiem Coi hot pot restaurant at the above address to eat and drink. However, after eating hot pot and drinking alcohol for about 10 minutes, all 5 diners showed signs of dizziness, cyanosis, vomiting, of which 1 person fainted on the spot.
Immediately afterwards, all 5 cases were taken to the emergency room at Bac Kan General Hospital in a state of cyanosis, difficulty breathing, vomiting, cold body, low blood pressure, and dilated pupils. After receiving the patients, doctors performed gastric lavage, oxygen therapy, and gastrointestinal lavage according to the protocol for mass poisoning emergency care. Up to now, the survival rate of the 5 patients is temporarily stable.
