Ten days after laparoscopic surgery to remove part of his left kidney, Mr. LTL (born in 1973, residing in Kien Giang province) suddenly suffered from severe abdominal pain and fatigue. At 4:00 a.m. on November 28, his family took him to the emergency room at Tho Chu Island Hospital in a state of low blood pressure.

Doctors at the infirmary administered IV fluids, vasopressors and hemostatic drugs, but the patient's condition became increasingly critical. Through telemedicine with Military Hospital 175, doctors diagnosed that the patient was in severe hemorrhagic shock and needed to be transferred to the mainland for intensive treatment.

Following the direction from the Ministry of National Defense, at 0:00 on November 29, EC225 helicopter with registration number VN-8622, piloted by Lieutenant Colonel Pham Ngoc Hoai, Deputy Director of the Southern Helicopter Company (under the 18th Army Corps), in coordination with the Air Rescue Team of Military Hospital 175 led by Senior Lieutenant Nguyen The Nha, departed from Military Hospital 175 to Tho Chu Island.

At 2:35 a.m. the same day, the emergency team reached the patient on the island. At this time, the patient was conscious, responsive, had pale skin and mucous membranes, was in severe hemorrhagic shock, required oxygen, and had a distended abdomen. After examination and assessment, the patient was immediately transferred to the plane, given additional blood and fresh plasma, and closely monitored to ensure stable vital signs throughout the flight.

In the early morning of November 29, the ambulance flight landed safely at the helipad of the Institute of Trauma and Orthopedics, Military Hospital 175. The patient was immediately transferred to the Emergency Department for specialized tests and a hospital-wide consultation to determine the most appropriate treatment regimen./.
