Until the end of 2024, Saigon Co.op marks its 35th anniversary with a series of programs for consumers; towards the community and society; improving the quality of goods to serve customers; continuing the goal of maintaining its position as a prestigious brand leading the modern retail industry in Vietnam.
During the program, Saigon Co.op announced a social activity project as a highlight in the 35th anniversary of its establishment and development: Co.op Care - a community-oriented activity platform of Saigon Co.op and its affiliated retail units.
It is expected that 150 social projects will be built and completed by Saigon Co.op and the brands in the unit's retail ecosystem (Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.op Food, Co.op Smile, Cheers, Finelife, Sense City, Sense Market) together with partners and customers in 2024.
The projects are divided into categories: education, health and social to support the disadvantaged and areas in need of help.
Co.op Cares will officially come into operation in July 2024. With a pioneering role in community and social responsibility, Saigon Co.op will join hands with customers and partners to develop Co.op Cares to become more practical and meaningful through projects to help improve people's lives, support the disadvantaged as well as aim for sustainable development of society.
Along with the announcement of the Co.op Cares platform, Saigon Co.op's birthday is made more solemn with a 21-day promotion program from April 28 to April 15 at 800 points of sale nationwide (800 points of sale include Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.op Food, Co.op Smile, Cheers, Finelife, Sense City, Sense Market.
It was noted that in the first days of the program, purchasing power increased by 30-40% compared to normal days, the reason being that Saigon Co.op launched heavily discounted items right from the start. In particular, the system recorded that cooling items with high purchasing power, such as soft drinks, soft drinks, energy drinks, electrolyte drinks, dietary supplements, etc., had purchasing power increase by about 30% compared to the previous month.
OCOP refreshment products that consumers are interested in choosing include coconut juice, lotus heart tea, bitter melon tea, pennywort powder... Co.op private label products such as Co.op Select lemon tea, Co.op Select aloe vera squash, Co.op Select herbal tea, Co.op Select fragrant tamarind juice... have increased in purchasing power by 50% compared to the previous month due to their convenience, can be used immediately after opening, and rich flavor.
