Inauguration of the Monument "People's Police Serving the People"

The “People's Public Security Serving the People” Monument is a project to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution, National Day September 2, the traditional day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

The monument is located in Quang Ninh province with the purpose of honoring the sacrifices and contributions of the People's Public Security force in the cause of ensuring national security, social order and safety - serving the people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Lam stated that the Vietnam People's Public Security is a revolutionary armed force born from the people, relying on the people to fight. The People's Public Security force always thoroughly understands and seriously implements the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh : "Our Public Security is the People's Public Security, serving the people, relying on the people to work".

This is also the ideology, viewpoint and basic line of our Party. Regardless of the circumstances, the People's Public Security force is always worthy of being the loyal revolutionary armed force of the Party, State and people. Many examples of brave fighting have left in the hearts of the people trust, love and admiration.

The construction of the monument "People's Public Security serving the people" aims to honor and show gratitude for the glorious achievements of generations of People's Public Security officers and soldiers; to strengthen the close relationship between the People's Public Security force and the people.

At the same time, strengthen trust and promote the strength of the entire political system, the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, ensuring political security and social order and safety.

This is also a cultural project with political and historical significance, a place to organize propaganda activities, educate traditions for generations of cadres and soldiers and raise people's awareness of good traffic safety compliance, promote the spirit and awareness of fire prevention and fighting; ensure a peaceful life for the people.

According to Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Lam, the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province identified this as one of the projects marked as a project to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security tradition day.

“With the hope that the project will contribute to enhancing the value of the urban landscape; becoming an impressive and attractive destination for tourists coming to Quang Ninh province, the Ministry of Public Security respectfully requests the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province and the province's functional units to continue to coordinate and support the Ministry of Public Security to maintain and promote the project to its full value,” said Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Lam.

The monument "People's Police serving the people" invested by the Department of Political Work (Ministry of Public Security) located in the center of Quang Ninh province is not only an iconic architectural work, but also a profound cultural and political mark.

This is a place to honor and record the silent but great contributions, dedication and sacrifices of the People's Public Security force throughout the journey to protect the peace of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.

The project is the crystallization of the intelligence, dedication and consensus of the entire political system, the close direction of the Ministry of Public Security, the close coordination between specialized agencies, Quang Ninh Provincial Police and construction, design and supervision units.

Mr. Pham Duc An, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, said that the inauguration of the Monument not only marks a new cultural milestone of the province, but also opens up a space for political activities and traditional education, contributing to spreading pride, fostering patriotism and revolutionary will for today's and future generations.

“This will be a “red address” to organize memorial and gratitude activities, political activities, raise awareness, courage and civic responsibility, especially for the contingent of cadres, soldiers of the armed forces, students and youth of Quang Ninh province,” said Mr. Pham Duc An.
