Conference Overview.
According to the President of the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association, People's Physician, Associate Professor, Dr. Dau Xuan Canh: "Cancer is one of the biggest challenges of modern medicine. Although there have been many advances in diagnosis and treatment, we are still looking for new methods to alleviate the impact of the disease and improve the quality of life for patients. That is why the combination of Oriental and Western medicine becomes important."
Associate Professor, Dr. Dau Xuan Canh spoke.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dau Xuan Canh said that Eastern and Western medicine have their own advantages. Eastern medicine, with more than 2,000 years of history, has developed natural treatments, such as using herbs, massage and other traditional methods. Meanwhile, Western medicine has introduced modern methods, such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery, to deal with cancer.
"Combining these two approaches can bring huge benefits. This combination not only creates a comprehensive care system, but also opens up new opportunities for research and development. We can take advantage of the knowledge and techniques from both approaches to find methods for early diagnosis, more effective treatment and provide better care for patients," Associate Professor, Dr. Dau Xuan Canh emphasized.
